As private markets expand across asset classes, geographies, and structures, allocators face a complex set of interlinked challenges. Market volatility, higher interest rates, and the widespread use of subscription lines and other leverage facilities are increasing exposure to liquidity and market risk. At the same time, managing liquidity for ramping evergreen vehicles and balancing long-term commitments against short-term cash needs have become core elements of portfolio construction. This session will explore how wealth managers and institutional allocators can build resilience into private portfolios by managing liquidity and leverage proactively, understanding true sources of market and FX risk, and identifying when and how to hedge exposures effectively.
