Laurence, a Canadian and French national, advises families on global asset allocation using a top-down strategy and leads a thorough investment selection process. Before joining EVEN, Laurence spent several years at JP Morgan, working across the trading floor and investment banking. She also held key roles in asset management and fund selection at a Swiss bank. Currently, she is managing the sale of a private asset portfolio for a client seeking liquidity and a strategic shift in asset allocation.
Private credit continues to draw strong interest from investors seeking steady income and downside protection - but its position within a broader portfolio is still widely misunderstood. This session will explore the unique cashflow characteristics and perceived resilience of private credit, and examine the role that distressed and opportunistic debt can play in recessionary environments. Delegates will consider how to weigh the appeal of this asset class against the uncertainties it presents.
