Michael leads the investment programme in alternative assets, including private equity and credit. He sets investment strategy, sources allocation ideas and tailors advice to clients on these asset classes. As part of this process, Michael sits on both the Investment Committee and Advisory Investment Committee. Lincoln prides itself on providing clients access to the broadest possible investment universe, of which alternative assets are a key part. The firm’s independent structure, clear alignment with clients and entrepreneurial allocation approach lends itself to accessing the most talented managers and differentiated sources of return.
Communicating the value of private markets to clients remains one of the most persistent challenges for wealth managers. From unfamiliar terminology to long investment horizons, complex structures and liquidity constraints, these products often require deeper explanation and a different framing than traditional holdings. This session will examine where clients are struggling to connect with the private markets proposition, how expectations are being misaligned across the lifecycle of investments, and what makes relationship conversations effective. Hear how firms are showing HNWIs why stepping into private markets makes sense, and how they are leading the journey for those clients who already have private markets exposure.
